The City of Orillia is conducting a Business Data Survey to better understand our local economy, support businesses, and plan for future growth.

We are reaching out to businesses across Orillia to collect important information about employment, operations, and industry trends. Your participation ensures that decisions made by the City reflect real, up-to-date business conditions.

How the Survey Works

• City staff (or authorized representatives) may visit your business in person
• Businesses may also be invited to complete the survey online
• The survey takes approximately 5–10 minutes to complete
• Questions may include:
  • Business activity and industry type
  • Number of employees
  • Workspace or location details
  • General business trends (growth, challenges, etc.)

Participation is voluntary but strongly encouraged.

Confidentiality & Data Use

All information collected is confidential and will only be used to update Orillia's Business Directory and in aggregate form for planning and analysis purposes.

• Individual business data will not be shared publicly
• Results will be combined to provide insights into Orillia’s economy
• Findings may be published in reports or dashboards to support transparency

This approach ensures businesses can provide information safely while still contributing to meaningful community insights.
