Economic Development Strategy
The Economic Development Strategic Plan for 2025-2029 identifies Orillia’s economic vision, mission and goals while providing Council and staff with an actionable framework to guide economic development planning and build economic vitality over the next five years.
The plan, developed in collaboration with residents, local businesses and community stakeholders, focuses on four strategic goals:
- Increase jobs and Orillia’s average income through targeted investment attraction and workforce development.
- More businesses start and grow in Orillia
- Orillia is an ideal location for living and visiting to attract and retain a stable workforce
- The tourism sector grows by maximizing opportunities to increase visitor spending year-round.
